On Friday, March 1, 2013 the Sacramento Press Club welcomed House Majority Whip, the Honorable Kevin McCarthy. Congressman McCarthy (R-23rd District) talked about the future of the Republican Party in California, the automatic spending cuts called sequestration, the 2014 election cycle and the legislative landscape in Washington D.C.
