California Forward Co-Chair Robert Hertzberg

He addressed the question: Is California ungovernable? As a former two-term Assembly Speaker, Bob Hertzberg is intimately familiar with the budget battles and hyper-partisanship that would make voters ask that question. Since leaving office in 2002, he has become a successful international entrepreneur while also serving as a trusted advisor to both Democrats and Republicans, including Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Now, as the newly named co-chair of the nonpartisan group California Forward, he has quickly become a leading voice in the movement to reform California state government.
