Please join us on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:00 as the Sacramento Press Club Freelance Committee presents:
The Basics of
Building a Great Freelance Web Site
These
days, nobody should even consider getting into freelancing without
having their own Web site. But how do you go about it? What makes a
good site and, more important, what should you avoid? Can you do it
yourself, or should you just fork over the money to have a real pro set
you up? Join us on May 13 as Web designer Megan Krekorian offers
answers to these and many other questions you may have on building a
great Web site that helps you develop a more successful and lucrative
career in freelance journalism. Megan will speak from a broad
perspective on creating a Web presence—why have a site, the basics of
design and search engine optimization, etc.
* When: Tuesday, May 13 at 6:00 pm.
* Where: The WEAVE offices at 1900 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95816
Megan Krekorian has studied computer animation at the Art Institute of Los Angeles, and communications at California State University, Sacramento. Since 1999, she has been involved with various aspects of web and print design, consulting and marketing.
